DAY ONE - Puerto Rico
Although Puerto Rico is known for its excellent
climate and friendly people, you’ll also discover an
island where past meets present. From one of the
most prestigious historic quarters in the New
World to one of the ancient archaeological sites of
the Tainos - it’s yours to experience!
DAY TWO - Historic San Juan
Discover the highlights of Old San Juan on your exciting, photographic “treasure hunt” .
Your guide will give each student team a complimentary disposable camera with written instructions to
photograph specific items of historical or cultural interest. Each clue is designed to engage the students
in a little exploration, but simple enough not to frustrate anyone.
The highlight of your treasure hunt will be the massive 16th century Fortress of El Moro.
DAY THREE - El Yunque & Luquillo
The entire area of El Yunque is a bird sanctuary
and holds claim to being the only tropical rain
forest in the U.S. National Forest System. Visit El
Portal before exploring the tropical rainforest
in-depth with a hiking guide specialist. Then, relax
on famous Luquillo Beach. This plantation of
towering coconut palms hovers over the mile long,
sandy beach.

DAY FOUR - Arecibo-Camuy/La Parguera
Motorcoach past lush landscape, pineapple farms,
and jagged eroded limestone cliffs on your way to
Arecibo. Visit the Arecibo Observatory, site of the
world’s largest electronic radiotelescope, which is
poised, listening nonstop for signs of
extra-terrestrial life. Later, explore Camuy Caves,
where you’ll board open-air trolleys which twist and
turn their way through the road carved out of
verdant foliage before reaching the moss-lined
entrance to the massive subterranean
wonderland.
DAY FIVE - Phosphorescent Bay Cruise
Arrange your favorite water sports or relax by the hotel pool. Tonight, board your
evening boat ride to Phosphorescent Bay. No words can describe the excitement on a moonless
night as the black sea becomes alive with millions of sparks of light,
rivaling the dazzle of the stars in the tropical night.
DAY SIX – Tibes & Hacienda/Ponce
On your drive to Ponce, explore the Tibes Indian Ceremonial Center and Hacienda Buena Vista. Your hotel is
located in the heart of the city. Ponce’s historical center has been lovingly restored to its original
turn-of-the-century splendor. Stroll the tree-lined spacious plaza with the cathedral and fanciful red
and black Parque de Bombas, imported from a world’s fair.
DAY SEVEN - Ponce
Ride the trolley on your ascent to El Vigia Hill for
panoramic views of the coast and your tour of the
Serralles Castle, a magnificent example of Spanish
Revival architecture popular in the 1920’s. The
afternoon is ideal for Guided Adventures and
shopping or your final visit to the beach.
DAY EIGHT - Departure
Transfer to the San Juan International Airport via
the trans-island expressway.
